2013 Freebie Recap

Do you like getting stuff for free?  I know I do!  Here's a recap of everything I got for free in 2013 and how I got it so you can get something for free too.  And if you're interested in seeing what I got for free in 2012, here's my 2012 Freebie Recap.

I used various websites to earn Amazon gift cards online.  Here's what I bought using my gift cards in 2013:
  • 10.1 Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 ($349.00)
  • Protective case for the tablet ($13.99)
  • Masking tape, foam sheets, glitter glue, and contact paper for a project to do with the kids ($21.50)
  • Hamilton Beach single serve coffee maker for a Christmas gift for Hubby ($49.00)
  • 18 K-cups for the new coffee maker ($15.99)
  • Several apps for the new tablet ($10)
That brings me to a grand total of $459.48 in free products.  That doesn't include a few things I bought on Amazon and paid for partially with gift cards.  Here's how I earned that money:

Swagbucks: Earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards along with many other rewards by using the Swagbucks search engine, completing the daily tasks, watching Swagbucks tv, shopping online through Swagbucks at participating websites, and completing special offers and surveys.  You can sign up for Swagbucks here

MyPoints: Earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards along with many other rewards by clicking through on the daily emails they send, completing surveys, shopping online through MyPoints at participating websites, using the MyPoints search engine, playing games at MyPoints games (which earn points on MyPoints PLUS rewards points on the game site which can also be turned in for Amazon gift cards making that a double win!), and completing simple offers in the "Easy Points" tab.  Invites are by email only so send me an email at annaliesbabyboutique@yahoo.com if you'd like to join.

Listia: Earn credits which you can use to win Amazon gift cards (or just about anything else!) in auctions put up by other members of the site by sharing auctions from the site on Facebook and selling stuff you don't want anymore in your own auctions.  You can sign up for Listia here.

Bing Rewards: Earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards along with other rewards using the Bing search engine and clicking on a daily offer.  You can sign up for Bing Rewards here

Ebates: Earn Paypal cash (or opt to have the site send you a check in the mail) by shopping online through Ebates at participating websites. You can sign up for Ebates here.

For smartphones and tablets only:

Appnana: Earn "Nanas" by checking into the app daily and installing and opening new apps on your device.  I wait until the Nanas credit to my account. and then I delete the new app from my tablet.  The Nanas can be used to purchased Amazon gift cards, Google play gift cards, Itunes gift cards, Paypal cash, and several other rewards.  Install the app on your device for free and use the code "a753486" for an additional 2500 Nanas.

Viggle: Earn points by "checking in" to tv shows on your smartphone or tablet.  Some shows are worth extra points plus sometimes there are fun little quizes to play along with the show that earn you extra points.  The rewards change periodically, but I'm waiting until they offer Amazon gift cards again to cash in my points.  You can download the app for free. Send me an email at annaliesbabyboutique@yahoo.com if you'd like to join with my referral link to get an extra 1000 points!

*Note: When I'm shopping online, I either get free shipping or a percentage off my order by searching for coupon codes at sites like retailmenot.com and coupons.com.  NEVER pay full price when shopping at a big name store online.  Combine those savings with cashback through one of the sites mentioned above and possibly rewards points on your credit card and you can save a lot of money!

About Ring the Bell:
"Ring the Bell" shares the story of a slick, big city sports agent Rob Decker who seems to have it all.  But on his latest mission to sign a high school baseball superstar, Rob becomes stranded in a small town where the simplicity of life--and the faith of the people--stand in stark contrast to his own fast-paced, win-at-all-costs mindset.  Torn between these two worlds, will Rob have the courage to let faith transform his life?  This heartwarming story of redemption is sure to entertain and inspire the whole family.

DVD Special Features:

The Heart of "Ring the Bell"
Casting Crowns “The Well” Music Video

On Set with Casting Crowns
Famous Faces

A Very Special Movie

Ringing the Bell

The Artists and Music of "Ring The Bell"

I was pretty excited about receiving this dvd to review as it looked like a really good movie.  The storyline was inspiring and sweet and I liked that Steven Curtis Chapman and Casting Crowns were in the movie as well.  Being from a very small town, I wasn't keen on some of the stereotypes I saw, but overall, it was a good movie and one I plan to watch again.  Because of his crazy work schedule, I haven't had time to watch "Ring the Bell" with Hubby yet, but I know he'll enjoy the movie too, especially because of the sports aspect.

Want to win your own copy of "Ring the Bell"?  Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway for a chance to win!

*The giveaway is open to US residents only.  All entries will be verified.  The dvd will be mailed to the address provided by the winner.  The winner will be announced on the Rafflecopter widget below and emailed.

Random Monday - April 22, 2013

Don't forget to enter the giveaway for a cute children's book about Jonah and the whale!  You can enter to win here.

Did you see my new monthly feature?  Every month, I'm hosting a link-up for giveaways so if you have a giveaway you'd like to promote, you can link it up here.

When we went to visit my sister and her new baby in the hospital last week, Princess got the chance to peek in the nursery and see the babies all lined up in their little plastic bassinets.  Her eyes widened as she asked, "Are these babies all for sale?"

I made a list of all the projects and orders I need to finish this week.  It's really long.  I have a sewing challenge for the Boutique Challenge Auctions page to finish by Wednesday, 3 outfits to make for my son, niece, and nephew who are having a joint 3rd birthday party soon, I have to design a graphic for some shirts for a customer, I have 5 dresses, 2 vests, and 1 tutu to make for customers, and I have to make my son's birthday present (overachiever, perhaps?)  Of course, that list doesn't include silly things such as housework, taking care of the kids, running Princess to and from preschool, and the other usual stuff on my list.  You know what?  I should probably actually get started on some of that stuff instead of writing this post :)  Sorry this one is so short!

Kids Blanks Review and Giveaway

It took me over a year to find a good online wholesaler for clothing blanks for my boutique.  And now I'm going to share them with you!

I have been thrilled with the quality and customer service I've found at KidsBlanks by Zoey.  I've been ordering all of my blanks from them for quite some time now and never had a problem.  (My only "complaint" is that they don't have any girly t-shirts for kids, hint, hint!!)

You can buy several different brands at KidsBlanks, but my favorite is the Laughing Giraffe brand.  They run true to size and are great quality.

If you're thinking boring white onesies or t-shirts aren't for you, then you haven't seen the selection KidsBlanks has!  There are prints (the damask is my favorite!), plus clothing and accessories for every age group from preemie to adult.

KidsBlanks was kind enough to offer two of my readers a FREE set of Laughing Giraffe brand Dalmation print onesies with matching beanie hats (Style 2200C, 2031C).  The winners can choose from 0-3M, 3-6M, 6-12M, and 12-18M sizes.
