Star - 6 Months

Let me start by saying...WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?  How did my precious little newborn turn into a 6 month old?!?  I can't believe she's half a year already.

Age: 6 months

Weight and height: 14 pounds, 4 ounces which puts her in the 17th percentile for weight and 26" long which puts her in the 58th percentile for length.
For comparison, when Princess was 6 months old, she was 13 pounds and 9 ounces which is exactly how much Star weighed at 4 months old.  Little Man was 17 pounds and 4 ounces at 6 months which is a whopping THREE pounds more than Star is now.

Wearing: Size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothing which fit her pretty well now.  I'm still trying to find shoes that actually fit and stay on her feet.  I got some 0-6 month Robeez style shoes, but they are HUGE on her and fall right off.

Likes: Being talked to, laughing, playing with her feet or hands, playing with toys and paper, sitting up, playing and jumping in her jumperoo.

Dislikes: Being bored, taking baths with her siblings.  She prefers the quiet relaxing atmosphere of her infant tub to a giant tub filled with noisy splashing preschoolers.  I can't say I blame her...

Eating habits: Star eats 5-6 ounces of formula every 3 hours during the day.  On March 25th, I gave her cereal for the first time which she LOVED.  She's also eaten mashed potatoes off my plate several times, and I started giving her applesauce for supper a few nights ago.

Sleeping habits: Star takes 3-4 naps during the day and usually one of those naps is several hours long.  She goes to bed at 7 pm and is up between 7 and 7:30 in the morning.  Her one fault is that she is a very light sleeper and, unfortunately for her, she has 2 noisy siblings so she's often woken up before her naptime is over.

Milestones/Accomplishments: She's sitting so much better!  She still wobbles and tips over frequently, but she's improving daily.  Still not rolling over from her back to her stomach, but she'll get it eventually.

Miscellaneous: She's started to get a little fussy in the evenings, but nothing too bad.  She chews on her hands constantly.  I've been watching for teeth, but haven't seen anything yet.

Her current schedule:
7:00 am: Wake up and eat 6 ounces of formula and 1 tablespoon of rice cereal.
8:30 am: Naptime
9:15 am: Wake up and play
10:00 am: 4 ounces of formula
11:00 am: Naptime
12:30 pm: Wake up and play
1:00 pm: 6 ounces of formula
2:00 pm: Naptime
3:30 pm: Wake up and play
4:00 pm: 4 ounces of formula
5:30 pm: Naptime
6:30 pm: Wake up and play
7:00 pm: 6 ounces of formula and 1-2 tablespoons of baby food.
7:30 pm: Bedtime

Comparison pictures from 5 months to 6 months:

Her high chair pictures this month were a little trickier to get because she's not content to just sit there and look cute anymore.

Giving me the stink-eye

I promised an overload of baby cuteness a while ago when I had Star's 6 month pictures taken.  Here it is so get ready for it....
