First of all, Happy Labor Day!! We didn't have any plans today which was good since Princess woke up throwing up this morning (apparently, she didn't get the memo about not getting sick the day before the first day of school), and Little Dude hasn't been doing well lately. His cough and wheezing have been getting worse over the last few days, and he's miserable and unable to relax for more than a few minutes at a time. He cries if he can't see me and it breaks my heart because I can tell that something's not right with him right now. I'm watching him closely and hoping he doesn't have to go in to the doctor before his three appointments next week.
I froze sweet corn from my in-law's farm on Saturday. The two littlest munchkins "helped" me.
My mom let me and my siblings get a library card after we'd read 10 books on our own. I realized last week that I'd kind of dropped the ball on that one since Princess has been reading for a while now. So while we were at the library for storyhour on Wednesday, she got her very own library card. She insisted on carrying it home before giving to me to keep in my wallet for safekeeping.
I can't believe school starts tomorrow already!! I'm hoping Princess feels better in the morning because it's no fun to have to miss the first day of school. Little Man's preschool class doesn't begin until next week so at least we have a week to adjust to having Princess at school before throwing another one in the mix.
Princess went with my mother-in-law on a trip this weekend to visit Hubby's grandma and sister. She had a blast, especially since they got to go shopping. On the way home from picking her up on Sunday, she sighed happily in the backseat and said, "It's good to get away from your family once in a while." Word.
I asked Princess if she missed me while she was gone. She thought for a few seconds before answering, "No, I don't think I missed you." *sob* Well, at least the other kids still love me, lol.
I belong to a closed group on Facebook for parents of children with feeding disorders, GERD, feeding tubes, etc. The group is a place for parents to ask questions, vent, and support each other as we care for our special needs children. So, imagine the horror when it was discovered that a question and picture asked by one of the moms had been anonymously screen shotted and sent to a site where it had gone viral making fun of the "stupid" mother. There are several things wrong with this. First of all, the group is closed for a reason-because most people can't understand what it's truly like to have a child with a feeding disorder and parents need a safe place to ask questions from others who are walking the same path. Secondly, it may seem like a "dumb" question to some, but honestly, when you're dealing with special needs, medically complex children, every little thing could possibly mean something big so parents tend to be extremely vigilant with noticing every change in their children. And yes, there are rare skin conditions that can cause changes like that. It's better to ask a seemingly silly or obvious question and be reassured that everything is okay than to wonder and worry. This to me, looks more like a concerned, observant mother than a stupid one.

Locked Out
Do you know what happens when you log onto Facebook from a different computer than usual, and it asks you if you recognize another recent login as being yours and without thinking, you say no?
You get locked out of Facebook, that's what happens. Even if that recent login you denied was the one from the computer you use all. the. time.
That means that you get cut off in the middle of a conversation with someone you only know through Facebook so now she probably thinks you're a stuck-up snob who's too good to respond to her message.
Oh, and you get 4 blog views in 7 hours on your latest blog post because you haven't been able to post a link on Facebook yet. Apparently Facebook is better for my blog than I realized.
The first thought that ran through my head when I got locked out was, "I should ask my Facebook friends how to get back in." Except that my Facebook friends are ON Facebook and my real life friends who are also on Facebook probably know as much about this as I do.
Here's hoping that tomorrow I get out of time-out and Facebook realizes that I'm not trying to hack my own account.

Shocked and Happy!
I usually don't get around to posting on Sundays, but I checked in to see how many views I had on my blog post from yesterday and almost fell off my chair!
In less than 30 hours, my post on pricing handmade goods has received almost 4500 views, been pinned and repinned dozens of times on Pinterest, and been shared on Facebook numerous times. It quickly became the #1 post on my blog with #2 only having 1430 views.
I'm thrilled that so many people are reading it and realizing how underpaid most artisans really are. Handmade work can be somewhat unappreciated at times, and I think it's great that so many are realizing just how much time and money go into a handmade work of art, be it clothing, photography, jewelry making, or any other art form.
Since I'm here, I might as well mention a few other things too!
First, Tiny Blue Lines interviewed me for a post about being a young mom! You can read it here.
Also, did you notice the change in my blog header and Facebook page? I'm in the process of redesigning my blog and am excited to be getting a new look. I haven't done much to change my blog since I started it almost 4 years ago, and I think it's time to update! I decided to go with a blue and yellow theme since those are two of my favorite colors together and were also the colors of my wedding (Coincidence? Probably not, haha). Oh, and did I mention that there's going to be chevron? I know I'm not the only chevron addict out here! I was going to update my blog background and template yesterday, but with so much traffic on the blog, I thought it might be best to wait :)
Thanks so much for visiting Supermommy!...Or Not. I'd love for you to like me on facebook" and follow me on Twitter!

Small Business Saturday
I'm sure you've all heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but have you heard of Small Business Saturday?
It was first held on November 27th, 2010 and was created and promoted by American Express. Its mission to encourage people to shop at and support local small businesses.
Now, technically,my business doesn't qualify since I don't have a brick and mortar store, but I'm still honoring Small Business Saturday at my boutique. After all, I'm definitely not a big box store!
On Saturday morning, I will release a coupon code that can be used in my Etsy shop and will be posting sales (and maybe some freebies!) on my Facebook page.

How to Schedule a Post on a Facebook Page
Someone told me how to do this and apparently, it's a well-kept secret on Facebook. Naturally, I had to share it with all of you!
If you have a Facebook business page, you can schedule your statuses to post at a time you select. Which is really handy if you're not going to be around the computer for a while or if you have something that needs to be posted at a certain time.
Start by writing your post as usual. Before you hit "post" look for the little clock symbol below your post.
Click on the clock and fill in the information for the time you want your status to be posted.
Click on "Schedule" and you're done!
To see the posts you have scheduled, go up to your Administration Panel and click on "Edit page." Select "Use Activity Log" from the drop down menu.

How To Block Apps On Facebook
I used to play Farmville. Just for fun, and because I had some extra time. Then, I had a second baby and started a business. And I let my crops die and have never looked back.
I have no problem with other people playing games on Facebook. If they have time to do it, than more power to them. Personally, I'm just too busy so that means that all those requests I get to join or play games or add apps go untouched. But, it does kind of annoy me when I log onto Facebook to find that I have 27 notifications and 26 of them are game requests. So, I did some digging/clicking around and figured out how to block the apps. That means, no one can send me a request to play anymore. If I really want to play the game at some point in the future, I can unblock it.
All it takes it 2 easy steps:
First, start typing the app's name in your Facebook search bar. Select the option that says "App Page"
Hover over the little icon next to "Play Game' and select "Block App" from the drop down menu.
Done!

My New Boutique
I'm so excited! With the help of my sister, I recently started on online baby boutique, Annalie's Baby Boutique. It's been up for less than three weeks now and we've had a good response to it. I've been having so much fun designing and making baby and boutique things. Hubby has been having fun watching my supplies take over the living room and our credit card balance hit alarmingly high levels. You gotta spend money to make money, right? :) Because the boutique is online, I've been spending a lot of time on the computer promoting the business and updating the store. Hubby has begun to drop hints about our energy usage around here and asked me the other night if I was ever going to come sit by him on the couch instead of sitting with my new boyfriend, Mr. Acer Computer. I told him that Mr. Computer is always there when I need him (except for when the wireless goes out) and loves to take me shopping so... The housework has also been a victim of the boutique. Dear Hubby made the mistake of informing me that just because I have a "little hobby", it did not give me the right to neglect my real job. The next day, I persuaded (with a little threatening speech) my younger sister to help me turn my city dump back into a pleasant dwelling and let Hubby know how I really feel about him choosing The Farm over his Honey-Do list at home. That evening, he promised (of his own free will) to help out more around the house.
Anyways, gotta go try out my new sewing machine. The one I was using was over 30 years old and decided to retire last Wednesday so I went shopping again today. ("Do you take a visa card that's dangerously close to it's spending limit?")
Unsolicited Advice:
Check out my boutique. No, really. Do it. And tell your friends.
